We all want perfectly straight teeth. However, many of us are put off the idea of teeth straightening treatment because:
a) The visual appearance of braces
b) The cost

At Straight My Teeth, we offer a solution to both of these problems. Our DTC clear aligners offer an invisible alternative to braces. On top of not being visible, our clear aligners can save your hard-earned money – costing you only £1499

That might still sound like a lot of money, but compared to other forms of braces and aligners it’s a much more affordable option. We’re proud to provide the most affordable teeth straightening service on the UK market.

Want to see how it compares to other teeth straightening options? Below are just some of the other forms of braces and the cost of each…

Cost of Braces in UK

Metal braces

Metal braces are the most traditional option and tend to be the most popular option. They are however also the most visible and uncomfortable option. On top of this, you may be limited as to what foods you can eat and may experience a lot more pain and discomfort than some other types of teeth straightening.

Metal braces cost: Typically, £2000 – £2500 from a private dentist. You can get this treatment through the NHS for as little as £219, but only if it’s for non-cosmetic reasons.

Ceramic braces

Ceramic braces are the same colour as teeth, allowing them to be more easily disguised. They can however stain and become discoloured if not thoroughly cleaned. They are also more expensive than metal braces.

Ceramic braces cost: Around £2000 – £3000 from a private dentist

Lingual braces

Lingual braces tend to be metal, but unlike traditional braces they are fitted to the inside of the teeth, helping them to be less visible. They do however come with a few drawbacks – they have to be regularly adjusted, they can be uncomfortable and they are harder to clean than most other types of braces due to their location. They’re also one of the most expensive types of braces.

Lingual braces cost: £3000 – £5000 from a private dentist depending on the unique circumstances.

Self-ligating braces

Several types of braces including Damon braces and smart bracket braces are capable of self-adjusting over time, which can mean fewer trips to a dental surgery and an overall quicker teeth straightening process. These braces may be made from metal or a clearer material. They can however be a lot more expensive than traditional braces due to the technology.

Damon braces cost: Anywhere between £1700 and £3500. It depends a lot on the technology, the level of adjustment needed and the material.

Clear Braces

Some modern forms of braces are practically clear, making them a lot less visible than metal braces. These braces are still attached to the teeth, which means that there may still be some discomfort and that cleaning can still be more difficult than clear aligners. They’re also more expensive than traditional braces.

Clear braces cost: Typically around £3000 – £4500.

Save Money with At-Home Clear Aligners

The teeth straightening process with clear aligners is simple and convenient. For example, Caspersmile clear aligners start by sending you an impression kit that you will use to get a precise mould of your teeth. You send this back to their team and we then use this to design custom-fitted aligners using a team of highly-qualified orthodontists. There are no trips to the dentist needed and no metal braces.
